My client is seeking a skilled and motivated Technical Application 2nd Line Support professional to join their team. In this role, the selected candidate will play a crucial part in ensuring the smooth operation of applications and providing high-level technical support to clients. Additionally, this is an exciting opportunity for the right candidate to transition into a development role in the future.
Ideally they are looking someone with 2nd/3rd line insurance application support, with testing but are also open to other applicants!
* Providing 2nd line technical support for applications, including troubleshooting and resolving complex issues.
* Collaborating with 1st line support and development teams to diagnose and resolve technical problems.
* Documenting support processes and creating knowledge base articles to improve efficiency and support quality.
* Acting as a bridge between clients and development teams to ensure the effective communication of technical issues and enhancement requests.
* Assisting in user training and contributing to the development of training materials.
* Identifying and communicating trends in support issues and potential areas for application improvement.
* Collaborating with developers and contributing to development projects as part of the candidate's career development.
* Engaging in comprehensive application testing, automated test development, and regression testing to ensure the reliability and quality of the applications.
* Running existing applications, monitoring their performance, and troubleshooting issues when necessary.
* Participating in the creation of new applications, contributing your technical expertise to the development process.

* A bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent work experience.
* Experience in technical support or a similar role, ideally with applications in a business or technical environment.
