Role: IT Support Technician
Location: Altrincham, Cheshire
Salary: £25,000 - £33,000
My client is looking for a full time 2nd/3rd line IT Support Technician to join their friendly team due to their continued growth and expansion. The role will consist of providing technical set-up support and advice to IT users and engineers via email, phone, social media and in person.
Daily tasks:
* Connecting CCTV remote systems and controlling door access facilities
* Routers, Switches, Networks, Firewalls, WI-FI and access points
* Monitoring, troubleshooting and networking performance, upgrades and network problems
* Troubleshooting
* On - Site support
* Resolving software issues for employees in house
* Hardware upkeep
Requirements needed:
* Communication skills - fluency and confidence
* An understanding of the LANs, WANs and VLANs
* Configuring routers and switches, specifically Draytek and Cisco,
* Understanding what to purchase for specific job and kit requirements as well as providing network connectivity services
* Knowledge of Procurement
* Prior experience in a technical support role, specifically service desk support and emergency on-site support
* A willingness to travel, both regionally and nationally
* Both analytical and troubleshooting experience
* Critical thinking, attention to detail and the ability to work autonomously
* History of managing work effectively under high-pressure
* Multi- task efficiently
