ROLE: Data Engineer
SALARY: £45,000 - £60,000 (+ 25-27% pension!)
LOCATION: London, Cardiff, Glasgow

We are looking for a highly talented individual to join an exciting company within the Energy Sector. Being a government organisation themselves, they are sitting at the heart of the renewable energy initiative and are leading the way to ensure the UK is carbon neutral by 2030. The main project they are working on is a full digitalisation of the energy sector, with data science, machine learning and engineering leading the way to ensure that customers are reducing their own energy costs.
They are now looking for a Data Engineer, to join their rapidly growing team already made up of several talented Data Engineers / Data Architects. They have offices based all over the UK so are happy for a candidate to work once a week out of their modern offices in London, Cardiff, Glasgow to allow for work / life balance.
Key Responsibilities of this role include:
Delivers the designs set by Lead Data engineer and Data Architects.
- Design and develop Azure Pipelines including data transformation and data cleansing
- Document source-to-target mappings
- Re-engineer manual data flows to enable scaling and repeatable use
- build accessible datasets for distribution and analysis
🚀We're excited if you have Some of the following qualifications / skills / experience:
- Experience in working with Azure (or other cloud technologies) Data Lakes, Data Warehouses, ETL/data pipelines - developing and maintaining
- Proficiency in T-SQL and Python to develop automation
- Experience working in AGILE environment / framework
