SQL DBA - Central London (Blackfriars) - £Competitive DOE
Position: SQL DBA
Location: Central London (Close to Blackfriars)
Salary: £Competitive Depending on experience
My client, a leading UK-based firm of attorneys specializing in intellectual property, patent and trademark law are looking for an innovative and capable SQL DBA with a strong background with developer languages.
Reporting to the Software Development & Data Analytics Manager, the role will involve supporting, maintaining and developing the company's databases, business intelligence (SSRS, OLAP, and SSIS), custom applications and integration tools (C#, ASP.NET). This will primarily involve working on the company's time and record management system. Additionally, you will be required to maintain the finance and document management systems and the integrations between these systems and Inprotech (a secure intellectual property management solution) as well as in-house built software.
The ideal candidate would have worked in a small to medium organization as a T-SQL developer and C# programmer with elements of DBA. You would have been exposed to a variety of tasks, not just programming/maintaining one particular subset of a system.

The successful candidate will ideally have:
** SQL Server certification, MCSE (Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert) achieved
** Excellent T-SQL programming skills, complex queries, stored procedures, performance tuning
** Experience of administrating at least Microsoft Server SQL 2012 level databases
** Extensive experience with SSRS
** Strong C# programming, algorithm writing, refactoring, analytic
** Exposure to VBA e.g. Microsoft Word macros and templating
** Relevant degree level qualification
Ideally you will also have some of the following
** Exposure to SSIS, SSAS is preferred but not a must
** Good ASP.NET skills
** Knowledge of the Inprotech system would be beneficial but is not required
