Role: Lead Machine Learning Engineer
Location: Remote working (London based office)
Salary: £70,000 - £90,000 DOE

We are looking for an experienced Lead Machine Learning Engineer to join a growing organisation, who are a leading technology company in the Insurtech sector. They specialize in working with the worlds largest insurance companies to improve their speed and accuracy of service to customers, whilst also increasing profits and reducing costs.
They are looking for a talented individual to spearhead their Machine Learning Team. You will be leading their engineering efforts, building and maintaining the models that are embedded in their platform. As a lead member of the team, you would be responsible for rapidly prototyping, iterating for viability and productionising models.

Position responsibilities:
** Implementing and bringing models to production
** Using a variety of techniques not restricted to ML to solve problems: computer vision, NLP and others
** Thinking outside the box to bring structure to unstructured data
** Leading research into new techniques and/or applying techniques from other fields to the insurance sector
** Defining taxonomies for labelling complex data
** Communicating mental models of complex problems with other stakeholders
** Managing and recruiting other team members
** Mentoring junior team members
Ideally you will have some of the following:
** Are experienced in Computer Vision (Ideally YOLO, preferably applied to non-typical scenarios)
** Are experienced in AWS SAGEmaker, Python, OCR (Tesseract), OpenCV, NLP
** Are experienced with bringing machine learning models to production
** Have a good understanding of system design and working collaboratively with non-machine learning teams within a business
** Have creative problem-solving skills, and who can apply non-traditional approaches to complex challenges
** Have an interest in cutting-edge machine learning research and staying up to date with industry developments
** Are able to create production-ready software systems
** Have a Master's degree or higher (preferable)
