My client is seeking an enthusiastic and innovative professional to work a new and exciting role within their Digital Products and Services (DPS) function, where you'll support the continued growth and development of their digital business.

You will be joining a multi-disciplinary, agile team with a proven track record of delivering digital solutions for the water and environmental asset management sectors. Their team comprises of data professionals and developers from a range of backgrounds, all of whom care about creating solutions that improve people's lives and the environment.

The role

This will require a broad working knowledge of geospatial and time series analytics, and a passion for innovating using the latest data technologies. You will lead a group of data engineers, analysts and scientists in creating and supporting my client's digital products and services, and you will work closely with their Lead Solution Architect, to manage how solutions are built and deployed. You will have an aptitude for communicating complex ideas and methodologies to clients, senior management and engineering professionals, and take a lead in growing your team of data professionals.

You will use your data skills to help their clients to meet their environmental responsibilities and commitments to reduce carbon emissions, tackle water scarcity and pollution problems. Digital solutions are at the core of their clients' strategies.

The ideal candidate will have some or all of the following:

  • At least five years' experience as a data professional, with at least two year' in a senior/lead role
  • Track record of delivering technical innovation or data science strategy
  • Broad data science skills (ETL, data engineering, data analysis/statistical analysis and data visualisation)
  • Advanced Python with experience in a range of machine learning libraries
  • Highly skilled in the end-to-end process of Machine Learning models - building, testing and deployment in a production environment
  • Strong working knowledge of both traditional and deep learning techniques
  • BSc in STEM (Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, etc)
  • Commercial experience in the utility sector
