I'm currently working with an international SaaS business based in Reading (hybrid), as they are looking for a Junior IT Technician and Infrastructure Engineer to join their technical team on a permanent basis. Please see the outline of both roles below.
Role: Junior IT Technician
Salary: up to £25k
This is a fantastic opportunity for a graduate or Junior Technician to join a fast-paced, global organisation with progression and training from day one! You will be provided with all the tools, knowledge, and guidance to develop your career and learn new technology.
Skills and Experience:
- Degree in a technology-related field, or equivalent field
- Active Directory administration
- Diagnose / troubleshoot hardware and software issues
- Knowledge of Microsoft Operating Systems (Windows 7, Windows 10, Windows 11)
- Office365 / Exchange support
Role: Infrastructure Engineer
Salary: up to £60k + £6k car allowance
As an Infrastructure Engineer, you will play an essential role in scaling the company's infrastructure and cloud environment and swiftly responding to and resolving incidents.
Skills and Experience:
- Experience within a Systems or Infrastructure role
- Experience with virtual machines including VMware ESXi and Hyper-V
- Active Directory and Group Policy management
- Windows Server 2008 R2+
- Networking including DNS, VPNs, and Juniper technologies
- Linux - CentOS, RedHat, Ubuntu
